- Synergy Spine Solutions will attend the 8th Annual DOCS Spine Arthroplasty Summit in Los Angeles, where neurosurgeon Joel Beckett, MD, will present "Beyond Motion Preservation with a Novel Lordotic Core Cervical Artificial Disc."
- Dr. Beckett will discuss how the Synergy Disc's built-in 6-degree lordotic core is designed to support cervical alignment alongside motion preservation, and what that means for surgical planning.
- In the company's U.S. IDE 1-Level clinical trial, the Synergy Disc achieved superiority over anterior fusion.
LOUISVILLE, Colo., Nov. 5, 2026 — Synergy Spine Solutions, a medical device company focused on improving the quality of life for patients undergoing spine surgery, will be present at the 8th Annual DOCS Spine Arthroplasty Summit at DOCS Spine and Orthopedics on Nov. 6 in Los Angeles. Neurosurgeon Joel Beckett, M.D., of Beckett NeuroSpine, will present "Beyond Motion Preservation with a Novel Lordotic Core Cervical Artificial Disc," discussing his experience with the Synergy Disc.
The summit will feature clinical and radiographic case studies involving cervical and lumbar disc replacement, complex revision procedures, and hybrid fusion and arthroplasty techniques. Dr. Beckett's presentation will focus on the role of alignment in cervical disc replacement and how a lordotic core design can inform implant selection and surgical planning.
"Preserving motion is only part of the surgical goal. We also have to consider the position in which that motion occurs and how the treated level fits into the patient's overall cervical alignment," said Dr. Beckett. "A lordotic core makes alignment an explicit part of implant selection. I look forward to discussing how that design informs surgical planning and how we evaluate alignment before and after surgery."
"The DOCS Spine Arthroplasty Summit brings together surgeon thought leaders who are asking important questions about cervical disc replacement, including how implant design can support both motion and alignment," said Josh Butters, CEO of Synergy Spine Solutions. "We're excited to be part of those conversations and to hear how surgeons are approaching these decisions in practice. Their experience, alongside more than a decade of international use, helps inform the education and clinical support we provide as we expand access of the Synergy Disc to more U.S. patients."
The Synergy Disc is a cervical disc replacement designed to preserve motion while improving anatomic alignment. The device features a built-in 6-degree lordotic core intended to help restore the cervical spine's natural curve and nickel-free titanium alloy endplates expanding access for patients with nickel sensitivities.
In the company's U.S. Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) 1-Level clinical trial, the Synergy Disc achieved an 87.1% composite clinical success rate at 24 months, compared with 56.6% for historical anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) controls, meeting the study criteria for statistical superiority (p < 0.0001).
Members of the Synergy Spine Solutions team will be on site to connect with surgeons and discuss the company's approach to cervical disc replacement.
